Is Danger Zone Coming Back to CS2?

Valve has not officially announced a date, but dataminers have found references to dz_ maps being ported to Source 2. Items like the Tablet and Bump Mine have also been spotted in game files.
Why the Delay?
Danger Zone maps are huge. Porting Blacksite and Sirocco to Source 2 with new lighting and water physics takes significant time compared to strict 5v5 maps.
